I think the drive up to the mountain top must rate as the scariest route in all the Sanparks.

I agree! That route might be responsible for a few divorce cases.....

No matter how many times we've driven it before, that last little bit before the top where you keep going up and you no longer see road in front of you still gets my nerves in a knot.

I must admit, I don't know what was scarier, going up, or going down. The only rule I followed while going down was ... KEEP LEFT !!!

We are going to Bontle this weekend. I must say, after browsing the forums I am kicking myself for waiting so long.

Enjoy! Just remember that it gets really cold at night!

But that has its benefits - maybe you will be as lucky as we were last winter and spot an aardvark!

Great, I will be doing the yellow ribbon for the first time. We are in a black Terios.

Will look out for you... we are going to be in a biiiiiig truck.

Just back from the weekend in Marakele, and yes cold it was, especially this morning


But then again, we were lucky and saw an Aardvark even in daylight




And of course loads of the regulars including tons of Rhinos - and the below giraffes and tsessebe
