My name's Jan [Janet] and when I joined, my daughter had just given birth to our first grandchild.
Seems very twee now but I love being a granny. |

Joao wrote Joao- For two reasons. I am the one of the magnificent seven who's tusks were never found. I also feel "Lost" sometimes. Secondly the name Joao in Afrikaans is Johan. My late brother's name. My real name. Arnold. Meaning of my name "The eagle who soars high" There's obviously a lot of poignancy associated with your choice of alias, Johan. So, great name! |

For me, driving through the parks can be best described as when you are about to run out on the rugby field just before a match. I am overwhelmed by sheer adrenalin and great anticipation of 'what's around the next corner'... This leads to being a little "energized bunny" confined to my car seat.
It's funny to think that we call this relaxation, but yet it is! So after another great day out that took its toll, the best way to round my day off and relax is happily in camp, behind the campfire, listening to all the bird and animal sounds, waiting for that pretty sun to go down.... offcourse with a soothing Sundowner whilst reflecting on our blessed day out and about. This is my most special time and the way the Kruger 'pops up' in my mind each time I think of this great place. |

There must be more Stellies in GP than what you thought.

That makes perfect sense, Sundowner. It is indeed the nicest part of the day.
Stellie, there's so often someone who has taken a name I really want for our car or our business or our usernames on the Net. Amazing that so may people think alike, or ARE alike. |

Well mine came from a deep hatred for people always taking my name on other forums so I just created a very random one that I wouldn't think many would have and it seems to have worked.

threedogs is the name of our property. When I told my friends, some of whom own very large farming properties, that we had bought a property (having lived in town all our lives) they joked about us becoming 'farmers' and 'landowners'. As a rejoinder I told them the place was so big it would take three dogs to work it. (It was actually only 120 acres). We owned three dogs at the time and still do. I am a bit of a 'crazy dog lady' too. Or so I'm told

My alias comes from a zoo game I played on a social networking site. The name of my zoo was Jenny's Jungle. When I signed onto this forum I thought everyone would think I was a bit presumptious to have an alias like that considering I have been going to the KNP since childhood!!!!
jj is to distinguish me from JJ (Jungle Junkie) |
