Hello, could anyone be so kind as to identify these lizards for me? It would be much appreciated. All were seen near Harare, Zimbabwe.
Is this a Rock Monitor? Thanks in advance Nick |

Not sure bout the first picture..
Second picture seems to me like a Black-lined plated lizard (gerrhosaurus nigrolineatus). The third is a rock monitor yes. Nice pictures |

Hi (again) Arks
Your ID for the Rock Agama (Agama atra) is spot-on (This one being a male). The lizard however may rather be the Bushveld sand lizard (Heliobolus lugubris) and not the Karoo sandveld (Nucras livida). Not sure about the lizard - perhaps you have other pics of it? |
