Not sure, it has not officially been launched, so it could very well be that the guys are still working on it in the background.

Can someone please tell this technology challenged individual what the difference is between Sanparks.mobi and Sanparks, which I open in Opera Mini on my mobile.

The .mobi site is created especially for mobile devices, so as few images as possible to keep it light.
It looks like this: ![]() |

Thanks you for asking the question, Rooies.
And Duques, now I know what it is, but what do we have to do on our mobiles? Do we just surf for sanparks.mobi and vuala I can see this page? ![]() |

Great Stuff...
How about a thread with live sightings updates...everyone can be kept up to the minute as to where sightings are...looking forward to something like this, could be fun but I will more than likely keep my mobile as far as possible |

Yep!
It's most of the site as you know it, but dressed down so it's easy on bandwidth and processor of a mobile device. You can visit it with your desktop too, just go to Code http://www.sanparks.org/forums/index.php?style=3 The last bit of the address (the "?style=3") is the important bit. If you are capped, like many Saffies are, this is also the way to keep your data usage way down. In just under 2 million seconds ( ) my flight to SA will be in progress, with almost 3 weeks in Kruger coming up. I will try to keep the forum updated via the dotmobi version of the site. That should be easily done from the camps, but I might even upload photos while at the sighting(s). |

Would it be possible to include the URL to the .mobi website in the topic reply notification mails?

I've been using it for a week or so and I love it. Not great for posting but for reading the forums its great. Photos are displayed fine, haven't tried viewing a video yet. No avatars, presumably to keep bandwith requirements low?

Thanks, o-dog. Please just don't keep your phone near your bed at night. Wireless technology as well as addiction to webcams can both cause insomnia. |
