We've been wondering what this plant was since we saw a number of them while in Kruger this past September. This one was across the road from the entrance to Tshokwane. Can anyone help this beginning botanist with an identification?
SO and I thought it should be in a Dr. Seuss childrens book. ![]() |

Hi Normana53,
It is Leonotis leonurus (wild dagga). Good plant to have in a "bird garden" especially for nectar-loving birds when they flower. |

Would be great if anyone could help me with the names of these flowers
Maybe they are quiet common but I don't know much(or should I say nothing) about wild flowers in Africa Would be helpful if I could get the scientific name as well ![]() |
