I believe that tomorrow night's full moon will be spectacular.
Can anyone shed more light on that? |

I think it is because the moon is at one of its closest points to the earth.

I saw an article on News24 this morning about it, cannot find the link now, but it said that the moon would be closest to earth around 5am on 6 May.

EJ, I heard mention of 16 degrees.
Even tonight, the moon looks close. For photographers, a great opportunity. |

On Sunday 6th May at about 05:33, at this time the Moon will be 357 000km from the Earth.

On the night of the full moon the moon rises approximately as the sun sets, and so in the morning it will be setting as the sun rises. |
