Online reservations : questions/advice/problems

Help needed in a catch 22 situation!
I registered for online reservations a while back but since then my passport number has changed.
Tried to update online but it says you have to do this by contacting reservations.
Contacted reservations. they told me to re register.
Tried to re-register - came up with "failed registration - this email address already in use"
:wall: :wall: so, where do I go from here except round in circles?????????

Hi Sushin,

I have tested the capture mechanism and it is working, we are getting feedback from other users using the form too.

If you look at the bottom of the site we now have a "Report error on site" if you can click that and drop us a line with the details we can investigate specifically for you.

We will need your operating system type, your browser etc

Yes I am also confused. My understanding was the same as you. :? Which means I am going to have to wait even longer to book my May dates for next year :wall: Was counting on that to boost my low moral and being homesick :x

Apologies for the confusion caused by the person who replied to you... Bookings are allowed for 11 months in advance.

With regard to the failures in credit card transactions, we are waiting for FNB to inform us about the reasons for these declines.

Hi dellac,

Please email reservations@sanparks.org and provide the details around the bookings. The extra money is probably put on your client code as credit on hold, which is safe.

Your credit has been placed "on hold" but is safe in your account. To redeem that, please email reservations@sanparks.org.

(In the future we will make your credit available for redemption via the online booking system. We are working on it. Please bear with us...)

I wanted to change an online booking, and couldn't find anything directly related on the forums about how to do it, so thought I would add my experience today in case it helps anyone in future.

We were booked into Skukuza in a bungalow the weekend before Christmas (online booking, so already paid in full), but I noticed that now a Family Cottage had become available in Berg-en-Dal, so wanted to change. I could see from the forums that I couldn't apply the existing payment made for Skukuza towards the Berg-en-Dal booking using the online system, only by phone or email.

I called the reservations number (I'm in Australia), and the lovely Sharon took the details, changed the reservation (I did have to pay via card immediately as the original booking was online so I guess the same rules apply - and I was upgrading to a more expensive option), and confirmed the payment. The entire call took 3 minutes and 42 seconds, and I received my new confirmation letter 5 minutes later by email. Also, the online reservation system shows the updated reservation as well.

Very efficient, easy process, and only a very short international call needed. Of course, it might have helped that I called at 7:40am Pretoria time, as I guess it might be quieter then. Great service. :clap:

Hi - yes, I only paid the difference between the already paid reservation and the new accommodation. And no modifications fees. :D

We have released a fix to the issue that you have reported, are you able to confirm that it is now returning and using correct availability and as such correct accommodation types?

Its an existing reservation. I'm just trying to change to a different bungalow type - same dates, same camp.

Any feedback / indication of when I will be able to change my booking?

Did you at least receive the reservation number I mailed to you?

I'm starting to get really nervous, as the available units of the accommodation type I want to move to is getting fewer and fewer by the day. It would be really upsetting I miss out on a better unit because of a website glitch :cry:

Hi Squirrel - we are investigating it, however to make sure you are not impacted, can you let me know what the change is here - ie what units you want it changed to and I will get reservations to amend it for you and confirm it with a new letter.
