I've just been reading Stephen's biyamiti tales - fantastic stuff.
This forum really is amazing; apart from all the behind-the-scenes work from Danie, Nedret and the technical staff (not forgetting the Moderators), there are fantastic reports from SANParks staff all over the country and there have been some wonderful reports of visits to the various parks (one or two reports stand out but it would be unfair to name a couple and leave out the rest!). Then there are all the request for information which are answered quickly and helpfully; the subsequent feed-back shows that people make good use of the information they get from the forum. Also, there are weighty discussions about all sorts of matters to do with conservation, and a load of superb peripheral information about subjects such as photography and travel to and within SA. Very rarely is there an "uncomfortable" posting or thread. Then, of course, there's the light entertainment in the Chit-Chat section Before I joined the Forum I was interested in wildlife and had enjoyed a couple of visits to the KNP; thanks to the forum my interest has gone much farther than that (and I've made a few friends into the bargain) GREAT STUFF ![]() |

I remember my first posting so well. I never thought this crazy space would become so important.
It has been mentor, container, entertainer, teacher... keeper of the peace. Sometimes it has Bottom line, it talks of Kruger, the bush, a shared passion... and in a space dictated to by green glossy marble and a tin shiny goddess, it allows me to connect to something deeply spiritual. |

And it is a real pity that that Santie woman hampered the initial growth of it.
And imagine how awesome it would have been if someone like KNPSM would post a couple of things on it? |

Come to think of it... it's not as great as being in Kruger, like where I will be on thurs, but nevertheless, it's pretty ok, for when you are not in Kruger.

Hi All
One of the things I look forward to when I finish work in the afternoons is logging on to the fourms. |
