There is a website called lastest-sightings.com that has real time sightings (locations and photos) of animals in Kruger Park INCLUDING Rhinos? They also have a Facebook page.

I am worried, as no Rhino sightings with locations are allowed on the Sanparks website, or has this changed?

EDIT - they have informed me they allow photos of Rhinos but not locations.

I believe it is the policy of Latest Sightings to NOT allow posts with rhino location.

There have not been rhino updates on there in a very long time.
Its against policy. You can see that from reading on the website.
Also .. real time is a relative term Depends if you have enough signal to upload your sighting to the website. They are mostly hours delayed ... it is best used as a data base of sightings to build up your knowledge of the productivity of various roads in that season, rather than a tool to find what you are looking for that instant

Have you actually seen the location of Rhino sightnings posted on this site? I never have and have used it on a couple of trips and also have it on Face Book. The person who runs this site is very commited to animal conservation and has a very strict policy about that

I have just looked at the web site and have gone bk 5 days of sightings and cannot find 1 that gives a sighting of a rhino. I am sure the policy is not rhino posting same as the facebook page.

We once upon a time shared rhino locations on this forum, pin up boards in kruger, and social media. But they all stopped around the same time (in 2011 if I remember correctly?)

Thats correct cheetah no locations of rhinos have been given since 2011

Definitely no Rhino locations and I do know that on FB you get a notification every morning not to post Rhino sightings.....
