Okay - sorry mods - I know this is not SANParks related...

But I've been looking all over and not finding much advice at all. This forum has really spoilt me!

We are visiting Namibia for the first time in May 2012. Of course, as part of our visit we will be visiting Etosha. We will spend 2 nights at each of the three camps. I don't know much about Etosha. I am sure there are many forumites out there who love Southern African parks - and who've been to Etosha. So will those who have been and have any tips, any advice on how it is, which waterholes are good and which are not, about picnic sites etc - please PM me? Any advice will be greatly appreciated!

I agree that this forum is wonderful for advice especially for overseas visitors. From Australia we are trying to plan Etosha after our next and 6th Kruger visit and information is so scattered and incomplete, unlike the Sans Parks sites and the forum.

Also check the latest couple of 4x4 magazines. Some very good articles on Etosha.

Same goes for other park groups, like KZN, the Botswana parks, etc.
There are some other fora where you can ask (and freely speak), like http://globalbirdtrekkers.org (which are centered on birding) and http://www.outdoorphoto.co.za (which is obviously centered on photography).
