Here are a few happenings during the meet that I want to share:



Our fresh newbie Audrey (Ad3 forum name?) that registered only three days before the meet.



Dan and myself sending out smoke signals at the braai.



Mads thinking about her shift at Rietvlei that only ends at midnight .



Cheetahkie and Marie (Coffee Shop management). Looks like a serious exchange of words .

Ahhhhhh Barry,

That smoke signal will make any Apache chief proud of us. Must say I smelled like a strawhut when we got home....

I do believe you cause I felt the same

Gandalf, Paul, Scipio and Dan busy with a strategy of keeping out of the smoke when the braai starts.



This was the beauty of the meet. Everybody was busy talking to everybody all the time .

My computer at work is not letting me see the photos ... so I'm going to have to sit outside in the cold when I get home this evening to check all the ones that have been posted since I was on line yesterday afternoon.

It really was a brilliant meet and I can't stop smiling when I think about the afternoon and all the wonderful people.

Wendy - thanks for the idea and initiative for arranging a meeting.
Cheetah - you were a very helpful secretary by keeping our list updated.
Barry and Hilda - thanks for the organizing, etc.
Shi, Sharifa and Duke, Mellory, and of course Heksie ( ) - for all the yummy stuff.
Waterbuck - for the yellow ribbons.

And then to everybody that was present - I am looking forward to the next meeting already. I really ENJOYED to meet old friends again and to meet new friends as well

Since we did not go on a night drive or visit the Lions, Mads and I decided to post a few photos taken at Rietvlei. We also thought that it could be a good idea if Rietvlei can be declared a SANPark

Just a final something to share with the mites that attended the meet. Hilda received an E-mail from Melanie who runs the Coffee Shop yesterday, stating that we were the best group ever that they catered for and that we are welcome to use their facilities any time in future .
