Quote Caracal brought her camera Caracal always has a camera stashed away somewhere And last night I was no better than at any other meet !!!! But first of all thanks to P@m for organising the meet Also great to see you both again..pity we did not get to chat too much !!!To Val and Richard..it was really super to meet you... and boy oh boy am I envious of your travels that you are about to embark on. I call it my "Sanparks" blanket because most of it was crocheted while visiting a SANPark. To Scouter and family..thank you so much for the lift there...I am so pleased that I was not behind that wheel on the way home To BB and Linda...great to see you both again and thanks for doing the sums. And last but not least...to Rookie...also great to see you again...enjoy your upcoming trips !!!! And the photos...OMW ..the photos. Well unfortunately we were all very well-behaved and not very animal like at all so I did find it a bit difficult but I did manage a photo of our guests of honour...Val and SO. ![]() Actually there was a bit of animal behaviour...there seems to be live entertainment at the Spur nowadays....the staff treated us their version of a "line dance" ![]() Down at the opposite end of the table I noticed Scouter and family having a good chinwag with BB and SO..it could only be about the upcoming Forum 4x4 trail in KTP. They were so lucky that they were sitting far away from me ..I could very well have told them to "shut up"....... ![]() And of course all good things come to an end ........sometimes quite a pricy end but BB under the watchful eye of his SO ![]() And as Scouter mentioned....the weather was putrid to say the least. The wind was really obnoxious and the heavens opened just before we left ...... The following photo is just proof that we do not exaggerate down here in Cape Town.... ![]() Well Cape Town might not be known for it's perfect weather....but something it is known for is that us CT 'mites" sure know how to get together and have a bit of fun..... ![]() |

What more can I say. It was a great get together!
Thanks to P@m for organising and to the forumites for braving the horrid storms to welcome our visitors to their "home from home"! Hope that Val and Richard have a safe trip to WCNP today and the rest of their journey lives up to their expectations. Who knows, we may just bump into one another again in KNP in Nov! |

Thanks to Val and Richard for giving us an excuse to have a gettogether
And many thanks to the mites that braved the weather to get there. That part wasn't too bad -- only heavy rain and wind. But the gale and deluge which delayed our departure was something else Great pic of it Caracal Val and Richard -- enjoy the rest of your trip -- am quite sure you will -- and we wish you many fantastic sightings in KTP |

Just catching up on some forum time.
Firstly a big thank you to Pam for organising the meet, and then many thanks to all the brave souls who came out on such an awful evening, and travelled so far. Richard and I certainly had a really good time, and it was wonderful to meet you guys. Weather perked up from the Saturday, and has been hot ever since. WCNP and KTP amazing places to visit, and we also enjoyed Clanwilliam and Calvinia. Thanks Caracal for the photies. Jannie seems to have disappeared, but tomorrow I will track him down without fail!!! ![]() |
