Well we've had some fun and games here today - a trawler dredged up an unexploded bomb last night out in the Solent and an exclusion zone has been set up around it.

We had the most gorgeous sunset tonight, so red sky at night signals a fine day tomorrow (or so say the shepherds).

I think everyone had a good day, the weather certainly helped.

Thank you to everyone for making the journey to the South Coast, I know it was a big trek for most of you. It was great meeting you all.

There were lots of cameras around and I think it may take some time to sort through all the photos that were taken. I'll try to post something tonight.

Had a wonderful Meet in Portsmouth...BIG THANK YOU to our SARA for hosting the Meet.
The day was sunny and we thoroughly enjoyed clambering up and down HMS Victory. The hull of the Mary Rose was fascinating to see and learn about the long term restoration process. The Harbour tour was done by some whilst a certain purple footed forumite chose to bask in the sun till lunch was called Lunch was a festive affair most people holding something in reserve for the evening meal. After that it was the Spinnaker Tower ...most impressive. We were lucky to see a Tall Ship entering the harbour before we made our way to the cold beers and food. By this time a certain Peregrine Falcon was in desperate need of revival.
What a wonderful bunch of Forumites....it was a pleasure meeting the newbies and touch base with the 'oldies' from previous meets.
Some of the guys are still making their way home so pics will take a while yet....as we need permission to post.

Just a quick note to thank Saraf for a cracking day out. What weather! Sadly it hasn't continued up here in Brummieland - it's very grey now

Oh yes, and the purple-footed KampHopper missed a treat on the harbour tour.

Believe it or not it's grey and cold here today. Brummie your luck has changed.

You really were lucky! It would not have been the same on a cold grey day.
