| Butterfly: Green-banded Swallowtail |

Today i saw a butterfly that was totally black with blue out lines on the wings
any idea on what is was? Thanks, BM |

I think that would be the female of the Green Banded Swallowtail (the male is green). Papilio nireus lyaeys

Green-banded Swallowtail, Papilio nireus lyaeus, probably a female⦠males have intensely blue marking on the upper wing as opposed to the duller green of the females⦠I think!
