Although the Cape Mountain Leopard is not a subspecies of the African Leopard it is much smaller than the latter one. Why?

Yes, due to their diet, Michel. But what's the difference in diet compared to those in KNP or KTP? (It is a petty detail actually...)

shi, I have to admit, that I wouldn't know of a different kind of ambushing in the Cape Mountain area compared to the national parks.

I don't know either...I know nothing about the mountain leopard My guess is though that if they are smaller, it's becuase they would need to maneuvre in small areas?... My guess difference in prey would be no real antelope..so probably rodents and birds??

Shi, correct! Due to a lack of other supply, it has to live on smaller prey (but at the same time covers a larger territoriy than his relatives in the other parks).
