 I know crocs can eat and then be fine for up to 3 months...  but eish  7 times? |

Reptiles have metabolic rates around 1/10th of similar sized mammals and birds. So in essence a reptiles meal will last up to 10 times longer than that of a bird or mammal.

It does vary according to conditions, but the average metabolic rate of reptiles is around ten times slower than that of mammals and birds.
Both Siobain and Heksie are correct,  , but I'll pass the IT to Siobain as she answered first. |
