Is it not the Lappet-faced Vulture that arrives at a carcass first in order to open up the skin with that huge beak?

The vulture that sees the carcass first will be the one first on the scene.

No no no, some vultures arrive there first, but they don't start eating immediately. They wait for the big guys to arrive to tear open the carcass before they start to feed.
