I heard reliably there is a rustic camp due to be opened in the latter months of this year at Makadzi picnic spot area , I assume it will be a campsite intended to accomodate those who have to spend a night in Kruger before or after using Giriyondo bordrer gate ?

That sounds nice!
And not only for itinerant border crossers. |

Dear Ndloti Please note that the Rustic Camp at Makhadzi Picnic spot was suggested as an alternative temporary camp after Shingwedzi was flooded. It was not intended to accommodate those who are using Giriyondo Border Gate. However, we are happy to announce that Shingwedzi camp site will be operational as from mid June, therefore there wont be a need to open the rustic camp as intially planned. |

Not sure if I would have stayed there if it was used more by transit people. There reasons for being there and mine would most of the time be on opposite sides.

Thanks for the news , Stephens .
I fully agree with you , Robert T , I have seen caravans at Tsendze apparently parked there while owners live it up in relative luxury in Mopani before / after their harrowing trip through Mozambique .. There was talk of other rustic camps on the cards , any updates there ? |
