Hi all,
Bottom 5 Disliked Kruger Roads is an idea which resulted from the Top 5 Famous kruger roads topic, but just the other way around. Maybe a bit controversial, but it might get interesting.... Mine are: 1. H1-1 just before Skukuza 2. Timfenheni Loop (s121) 3. s37 4. s142 5.s131 |

Hey GS.
This is going to be interesting. I wondered how soon the S100 would come up and how many other roads will be in both favourite and least favoutite threads. I'll think on this one some more, but have to agree on the S36. It was bady corrugated when we travelled it in April 2008. The Marula loop was a washout for me as well and the Mahonie Loop. |

Sup BH,
Indeed - I thought maybe we can get some contrasting opinions here: and WTM always contributes to that The only HUGE disadvantage of the s100 is the amount of cars - thats why I might avoid it sometimes. As to corrugated roads, we also dont have a 4 x 4. BUT is Jan 2008 I drove around in Sabuwona's Landrover, and must admit, then corrugated roads don't even matter anymore. Nevertheless, after you have been on the s12 (Girivanna road) - how would you rate it now??? |

Did not ee a thing on S12.
We went onto it on the Orpen side and did the full circle coming off it on the Satara side. The Satara side wa really bad compared to the Orpen side, whick look to be an extention of the S40. So I missed Nsemani dam. I have also done the S39 a couple of times and not seen anything meaningful on it. |

Doff I guess. GS. Turned left of the S40 instead of right and that's how I missed Nsemani dam.
We are going to make up for this though by doing a second 2008 trip to KNP and will probably spend it at Satara for 4 nights. Need to check the moon phases though as Balulue might be a better bet and this time at full moon. OK, so my least favourite roads. The N4 west. The N12 West particularly from Nelspeuit to JHB. |

May I suggest the S90, the bit between Gudzani and Ngotso weir road? The landscape is great, but sightings? Which?
