Dear seasoned Cammers,

I just read Animal Girl x asking
Quote
how do you put an image on here ??
and I am sure that many of you have assisted newbies (welcome to the forums and cams, Animal Girl x ! :D ) in doing this

Let's post advice on how to post webcam photos in this thread, please ?
We do have excellent tutorials 8) but, sometimes newbies need that extra inspiration and advice from those who might have spent a long time figuring out the easiest way to do this.

Thanks for your reply, Picnic :D

About posting pictures 8)

This is the way I do it maybe it helps  :

1. First right click on a image from the webcam you want to save
2. Use option save image to...certain directory on your computer....
3. Use imageshack or any other program(Tinypic, Photobucket etc) to upload the image from your computer
4. After uploading the image, copy the provided link(with imageshack it is called Forum code)
5. Post it on the forum.

Have FUN

Matthys what a great idea............

I use Photobucket..........so this is what I do :D

1. create an album in photobucket for each webcam
2.on the webcam page right click on photo and copy picture URL
3. on Photobucket upload from web ( under drop down box were there is usually from my computer)
4. then paste URL in the box for that
5. Click start uploading picture
6. once uploaded click on the photo
7. a new page with this photo will open and on the right hand side to the photo is a block with IMG code
8. left click on that........copied will appear
9. Now you can post your image on the forum by pasting the IMG code.

Hope this helps :D

You also need to make sure you open an account on the hosting site otherwise your pics will vanish after a couple of months. :(

Hi Stampajane! :yaya:

He was a beauty, I agree! Its quite unusual to see them at Nossob but they seem to have been hanging around for the last couple of weeks.

Once Photobucket is up I can upload some pics - unless you have some that you can upload using any other program? :D

I don't know how to post pictures, only how to capture highlights and even those I sometimes miss the animal. Maybe my computer / connection is a little slow.

Good morning Stampajane,

Posting pictures is easy. 8)

- Go to Imageshack Toolbar
- Follow the instructions and install the plug-in
- Register for free(uploading pictures to Imageshack will work faster)
- Go to the Webcam page
- Right click with your mouse on the Webcam picture
- Select upload to Imageshack
- Select the right link(Forum Code)
- Post it on the forum

I don't use Photobucket it has to many problems and first of all you first have to save the pictures on your hard disk. :wall:

You don't need to save the pictures on your computer and if you register you get free space to save the pictures online.....

Okay I have also signed up for ImageShack - now all I need are animals at the waterholes!
Thanks Vinkie.
Problem for me as I am also computer doff! I right click on an image, and then choose upload to ImageShack. It gets as far as one blue bar from the end and then just sits and sulks and doesn't move at all. And I waited a very long time. Where did I go wrong?

I did all of the above. I have been looking at the topic on how to post pictures and there are re-sizing stories but I don't see where to resize.

You don't have to resize the uploaded picture....just copy the forum code into the post.
