Hello everyone!
This past week, I visited Kruger, and I saw either a red breasted swallow(which is a migrant, or do they over winter in Kruger???) or a mosque swallow... It had a whitish chin, but i have seen some red breasted swallows also with whitish chins...
There were 4 of them, and was seen in the region of Gardenia hide...
I don't have any photos unfortunately...
Thank you very much!

Welcome to the forum Cois Cois. They were most probably Mosque Swallows, I've never seen Red-breasted in the Kruger over winter. Besides the white chin, another good way to separate the two is to check the ear coverts. Red-breasted has blue ear coverts, whereas Mosque has pale rufous ear coverts.
