Hi HemanPienaar, not as far as i know (i'm not a Birder). They usualy prefer dry branches, and make their "hole" (nest) together. :hmz:

Maybe a fundi can help us both. :w:

Hi Herman,
I found this in the book Roberts Nests&Eggs (which I would highly reccommand for everyone interested in birds):

"Nest: a hole in a tree, excavated by both sexes; it is invariable in dead wood, either in a main trunk or side branch, often a dead branch within a living tree and it is likely a vertical stem as in the underside of a sloping branch."
