Up to 546 with Striped Kingfisher, Ovambo Sparrowhawk and Striped Pipit.

Sorry for any confusion resulting from my previous post

It was in fact most definitely a whole noisy flock of Arrow-marked babblers and not a Black-faced babbler that I saw in Thabazimbi. I never thought otherwise, but for some reason my mind was (probably?) wandering when I typed the list and changed it to a never before seen in South Africa species.
Thats my only explanation for the typo!

I am currently on 191 having ticked the following during a visit to the Walter Sisulu Botanical gardens, Krugersdorp:

African Olive Pigeon
African wattled lapwing
Fiscal flycatcher
Greater double-collared sunbird
Kurrichane thrush
Southern Boubou
Verreaux's Eagle

And on Eleazer road, Potchefstroom:
Sabota Lark
Tawny-flanked prinia

And at OPM Prozesky reserve, Potchefstroom.
Levaillant's Cisticola
Pied Avocet

Target for 2012 still 200, but I'm getting there fast!

I stood still for a very long time, but a good winter trip to Kruger and a stay in Secunda has pushed my total up to 349, with my best sighting being a Senegal Lapwing.
