The good rain of the last weeks changed Addo's grasslands into a green carpet with lots of yellow and pink flowers....

Beautiful pics. I am going to visit Addo (first time in 30 years), for a couple of days in December, and will not be camping, nor can I afford fancy private camp prices - any suggestions as to accommodation options would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums!
You could book a Chalet 2bd(CH2) which costs R645 per night? If you check this page you can see some photos of it. (Click on them.) |

Wow all these photos are fantastic - what time of year were these taken? We are visiting 8 December and my amateur photographer husband will be in his element if it is like this. We visited Kruger 2 years ago and cant wait to see our large friends again. It was desparately needing rain though and very arid. This is beautiful.

Duques,
Thanks for link for chalets. Are they semi-detached or free standing, do you know? |

We visited Addo on Saturday and besides seeing a lot of game, what was so special was the wonderland of flowers. It was so spectacular
We were totally in awe at the beautiful splendour |
