After retirement my wife and I wanted to turn into old age adventurers rather than remain old age pensioners. So we started from scratch 7 years ago traveling to parks in SA, and gradually expanded our range to as far as Tanzania. We initially had a 2nd hand Prado which had to be put down after 3 gearbox replacements in 18 months. We now spend 6 months a year in our now 4 year old LC76SW with RTT. We spend 6-8 weeks a year in KTFP and with Etosha, it is our favourite photographic park.

We still regard ouselves as novices in all fields, but have now opened our website which is aimed at other old age pensioners. Our main purpose is to inspire (???) other pensioners with our photos, but we also give tips on photography, 4WD, and travel based on our bad and good experiences. There are of course much better expert supported sites giving advice, but we felt the novice's viewpoint had value.

We stayed 17 days in this beautiful park. This was our fourth visit in this park.

Our 2012 "round the clock" 4 month trip Southern Africa self drive photographic safari started in August in KTFP. After 5 weeks we left for Etosha, Caprivi (Nambwa, Mahango, & Mamili), Botswana (Chobe & Savuti). We returned for a final week via the Kaa gate to stay at Rooiputs & TR. This trip, driving our LC76SW & camping in our rooftop tent in some wild places, provided some scary adventures & fantastic photo opportunities (messed up some & missed others but we believe some great shots waiting impatientlly to emerge in Lightroom).
