As heavy clouds darken the skies
and I dream of impala pies
I look out at the snow
and wonder if it's ever gonna go
As I want to see Buffalo eyes.

There is a dusty twisty road
At the side of which is a wilddog abode
With their little ears pricked
and their naughty bits licked
Till off they go in hunting mode

Sitting in the shade of the Baobob tree
Lion, Cheetah, Leopard and me
Deciding who was for dinner tonight
Just the thought gives me a fright
Seems like it may be one of us three

I put up my tent at Satara
Which is a whole lot better than the Sahara
not so dry and dusty
the wind not so strong and gusty
I wish I could stay baie jare.

Transl: many years. Hey, it's a hard one to rhyme.

While walking the Klipspringer Trail
I fluffed up my coat and wagged my tail
I stood on a rock
And got a huge shock!
the rock was in fact a giant snail

In 110 days we'll be there
In Satara having a beer
Checking out the waterhole,
True therapy for my soul,
And my heart, and my eye, and my ear.

A Lion, an Elephant and a Baby Giraffe
Were watching Hippo and her little calf....
The Lion said to the other two
"Wonder why Hippo is looking so blue?"
Perhaps his legs are starting to chaff.

This All New Limericks Thread,
has suddenly become our daily bread,
It really is quite good fun,
And interesting tales have been spun,
but still a load of things are left unsaid.

A DinkyBird and a Hawk living in the same cage,
But when shopping, NOT on the same page
She gave the electrics a wide berth
Hawk wondered what his credit card was worth
he seriously hoped it was more than his age!!

C'mon Dots....you give us the next one!

First thing in the morning, coffee in hand,
Log on to sanparks that's the plan
Soon the sun is up high and the coffee is cold
In Travel Tales lots of stories are told
I dream of watching mongoose playing in the sand.

Y'r turn...Dots!

Limerick time for Jenb and Dots
Golly these two are good, they write lots and lots
but Freda chips in to help out a bit.
It's so much fun from where I sit,
and stops the brain from getting the rots..

Too soon to earn our pay?

Went to Kruger and met an ellie
My goodness he had such a fat belly
and tusks that crossed over
But my oh my what a great lover!
No one minded that he was a bit smelly
