Thanks ornithologist-wild dog! I'm also fascinated by how much there is to detect when our other senses are utilised. Basically, because most humans live in a cacophony of noise that dulls all our senses (except, for some people, the one for spotting a money-making opportunity ) we are pretty useless when we are out in the bush. However, some concentrated effort and intention reveals sounds, odours, and sights that are at first hidden, but very clearly there when we listen, smell, and see with more awareness! Thanks for sharing your passion with us, O-Dog!!

A few years back my sister and I were staying at Pretoriuskop and after some car trouble got talking to our neighbors who helped me... After a while the man stopped and said to my sister: "You look more like a beachbaby and your sister looks like the bushbaby" That just stuck!
My sister was not impressed with being called a beachbaby!
