Day 6 Part 2


We did the 4x4 drive and had a ball!!! A real nice drive if you want to feel how it feels to be in the middle of the Kalahari all on your own!!!

We never saw the cheetahs and were a bit disappointed when we got to the exit. As it was not very far from Houmoed we decided to drive to the waterhole and see if there might be something interesting………….

Just to the right on the dune overlooking the waterhole these where waiting for us………….

They got up and slowly started to move down to the waterhole……….we were in heaven!!!

Not a single other car!!!

I’ll let the photos tell the most wonderful story!!!.............

Mom was the first who had enough water to drink………she slowly walk to a small tree to the back of the waterhole and laid down for a rest.







This was one of the best cheetah sightings ever.

To my shame I took just short of 200 photos just of this water scene……..I won’t bore you with all 200, but will give you a bit more later one…………
