I tend to forget seemingly important dates like so's birthday and aniversary and things that get me in to a tight spot but this one deserves a party Stiffnecks is up for one, call it a birthday or anniversary or what ever you want this is the perfect opportunity for a big bash.

Let's have a big get together on that day in all the different areas covered by stiffnecks. I want to suggest a birding outing and a bit of a lunchtime braai at northern farm for the folks in the Gauteng area. There is a nice area at one of the dams with a hide and open space to park and sit around under the trees and get to know each other better. Any one with a better suggestion? Who's in?

Other areas lets pull together and have a bit of a birthday bash even if it is only you and so on a birding trip. Post a report and pics

I think we should rather postpone, the weather does not look promising for an outdoor birding braai.

How about next Saturday (28 November)?
Where? You guys an' gals can make the call, Sparks will be driving.

Thats better Jen...this week would just be miserable. Even if the rain stops everywhere would be so wet.

How about Rietvleis next week?

Had a lovely time. Saw some nice birds. The northern Korhaan gave us a shock flying up out of the grass right next to the car. The Pin tailed Whyda was very active chasing the females.

This is one of our favourite places.

We really had a lovely morning....Rietvleis was beautiful...birding was great and the company was even better
