Saw one in the KTP, on the top dune road, during our recent trip in October. Was hiding in its burrow and every now and again popping out its head. Waited around 20min to share our sighting but nobody seemed to pass...thats the Kgalagadi for you!

Hi all :)

Here is a pic of what seems to be a 'resident' aardwolf at MZNP between the gate and the camp! - strange little thing!

If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck etc etc etc...

Its settled, aardwolf is a scaled down hyeana.

Seena few, one in Mountain Zebra, late afternoon, past the picnic and pool area. The other was at teh Gorah Loop turnoff in Addo also, late afternoon.

Between Uitenhage and Patensie, I have seena dead one that was run over by an idiot speeding. :( :( :(

And about 3 weeks ago, took a night drive on the dirt roads to teh border of Darlington Dam area via teh Glanconnor road, one bolted out in front of me like a bat outta hell.

Nice to know they are knocking around in and out fo parks

Not seen in KNP , but I was elated to have a chance sighting of what could only be a aardwolf testerday at dusk along a quiet tarred rural road passing farms stocked with game about 15 km east of Vereeniging !!

I saw this a year ago , a roadkill in the same area .

Believe it or not but we saw a Aardwolf on the back roads from Elim leading to Aulgulhas National Park. It was very dark in colour and moving in broad daylight on a farm. I nearly crashed the bakkie into the fence trying to get to the camera.

Still waiting for that elusive leopard on the koppie near Renosterkop.

No photos of Aardwolf in Kruger yet
How can it be that nobody has a photo of an Aardwolf sighting in Kruger as yet :hmz:
Surely someone out there has come across one on a night drive and snapped a blurry pic!
