there some really interesting calls we've been hearing in our garden for the past 2/3 weeks. I haven't identified them yet, but when I do I'll let you know.

We often get green woodhoepoes and some robin-chats which I quite like.

Crested and Black-collared Barbets are also favourites for their ubiquitous calls

Its an unmentionable on the other side of my fence. I have never found the heart to remove it as it does seem to be a favourite among our birds.

Put out some peanut butter for them….it will provide you, and them, hours of entertainment. :D Those bills are just not made to eat the sticky peanut butter…but every now and then they manage to get a piece into their throats and they just LOVE it.

We have quite a nice bird life in Bryanston…some of the more special ones we have had so far….
Wattled Lapwings (one actually chased two Hadedas out of the garden this morning)
Burchell’s Coucal
The Green Wood-Hoepoes
Red-winged Starlings (also Glossy Starlings)
Red-headed Finches
Had a brief glimpse of a Diderick Cuckoo end of last week. 8)
