I am heading too KNP over weekend of 16-18/10

The wife badly wants a siting of Wild Dogs,

Now the Lotto question where is my best chance /odds of achieivng this

We have seen them mainly on the tar road down to Croc Bridge.

Hi, we saw 2 times a large pack of wilddogs near Talamati and a large pack (21) on the S25 (Croc to BnD)

I really want to see some wild dogs again. I last saw them on the Voortrekker Road in 1997.

Hopefully my trip in November, or in January will bring better luck.

We had 2 sitings in August both on the H7, first one about 7km from Orpen gate and the next day on the opposite side of the road from Nsemani waterhole heading towards Satara.
I hope luck is on your side and you manage to get a siting

Have seen them on the H7 near orpen and at majulu waterhole near BnD!Martie has seen doggies around BnD go check the blog!

We saw my doggies at Transport Dam near Pretoriuskop about two weeks ago (24 September 2009)

The other time we've seen them have been on the road between Orpen and Satara last year June

Saw Wild Dog just by Satara by the S100 turnoff recently, but Wild Dogs move long distances and you just have to be lucky

This topic is about the African Wild Dog, all 37 pages of them. Maybe peruse those pages?

In 10 yrs I have never seen a Wild Dog near Phalaborwa gate and its surround, but in the last 6 weeks have seen them on three occasions. Twice on the S131 and again near Sable dam, it was worth the wait.

KNP is a BEEG place. YOu don't say where are you going.

Doggies were recently seen on the S25, 5 km west of hippo pools turn off. I also saw them there but 3 years ago.

Also saw the H7 lot 7 km from Orpen in April, but they have been seen there since and before.

Hi Every one! I thought we could have a little fun by remembering when you last saw wild dogs in the park and where you have seen them. I think it will be fun to go back on memory lane for some to remember that that and I bet still fun for those lucky ones who have seen Wild dogs recently...

The last time i saw wild dogs in the park was January 2000. We followed them for a long while. They where jogging next to our car all the way to Renoster pan!
This was an amazing experience for me, as it was my first time for seeing Wild dogs in the park and for them to be that close was amazing! Just wish that I had Pics of that day. I was only 14 years old at that stage and did not posses a cam!! needless to say it was also my last time that I saw wild dogs, but hoping that my luck will change this December!!

I have been going to the Kruger for years since I was a baby/small child and I have yet to see Wild Dogs.

I wish I was as lucky as some people but that doesn't look like that's the case

I am not gonna make people like Mant jealous by telling them that I have seen the doggies on my last 5 visits, and less than half an hour after entering at Orpen gate in April. Hope to do the same on Saturday!
