Its many years since we have taken a road trip from home (East London) to Cape Town.

Last week we decided to amble down (up?) the coast to CT. From Alexander westwards, we regularly passed SANParks signs ... beach areas, forests and so on all now under their protection 8) I got a certain 'kick' each time we passed one of the signs!

For the first time I stopped off at the Wilderness park. We will most certainly be visiting this park to camp, also visiting its beaches and lagoon areas in the very near future!

First stop off ... Sedgefield area

I really do think you should go BGS ... one of the SANParks' hidden treasurers!

I never even got to stop at the forests and explore them. I think a good few days set aside to amble from Wilderness to Nature's Valley is a must for everyone!

Stunning photos DB.
We were there in January. It was so relaxing that I did not want to come home specially after we found a breeding pair of Fish Eagles a few hundred meters from the cottage we staying in.
Next time do the forests, it's totally worth it, sometimes it feels like the trees have eyes watching you, it's awesome.

Great pics DB and just in time for me to know what it looks like! I'm about to book one night there (yes I know, "only" one night) in november. Think we will do a bit of canoeing there. :D

Great pictures!!
My wife and I will be down in Grootbrak in December. I would appreciated any suggestions on day trips in and around Grootbrak where we can enjoy a great breakfast and a lunch and some wild life thrown in. PS We have both passed our sell by date as far as hiking is concerned.

Thanks
