Hi leervis,

That would be the Northern Plains adventure trail - there is not a specific topic on it (if you do do it, be great if you can tell us more about it) but read here for some info on the adventure trails in Kruger.

I think Betelguese mentioned in her Punda Maria sightings thread that the Northern Plains adventure trail was shut at the moment.

If it is Open when you get her Leervis, it is very interesting, & you get to circumvent the Roan enclosure, see a lot of Big Elephant. Really worthwhile to go there for the Scarce antilope specie.

Also it is very open & sightings include Ostrich with baby, Brown Hyena(for the unbelievers) & raptors of note, enjoy the trip.

Off to the North again in a week. Anyone know if the trail is open or not? Would love to try it.

Will ask Lesego to find out and confirm for you - but the last I heard, it was permanently closed.

'mites, I am going to rename this topic to the Northern Plains Trail .... there is also a trail called the Shingwedzi trail which goes through the Limpopo side of the transfrontier park.

I will also move this topic to the KNP Activities forum

The signs on the Shingwedzi-Pafuri road are still up . If the trail is permanently closed , shouldn't these signs be taken down :hmz:
