My rhino exsperinces:
White rhino never been n problem and as the years went on more and more rihnos where find all over the park for me, must say the highest up north in the park I have seen rihno is just before Mopani in Fed 2007. The park was relogating more rihnos up noth when i was guiding, us nr were increcing in the south. To my understanding is that Krugers white rihno population is one of Africas biggest nature concervation sucsess stories as white rihno was extinct in the early 1900 and was only reinterduce to the park in 1961 and today there is over 7000 in the park and the park is also exporting between 50 to 100 every year to other parks frout Africa. Most of my white rihino sightings where seen in the Pk area, Diospane road. H3, Berg en dal, H10, and south of Lower Sabie. Almost guaranteed sightings For Me was(if any animal can be guaranteed in Kruger) was late afternoons at renoster koppies dam, early and late afternoon down the Diospane road towards Phabeni and Jons-se-dam on the NHLANGULENI ROAD(S36). But like I said today it n diffrent stories as you almaost certain to find them south of Tshokwane if you visit the park. The only road that is not good for rihino is Eloff street , as we as guide Have seen them hear but not a lot and if normally when it was very dry. I have seen up north of Tshokwane many rihno but is more of luck than expecting to see one up there. Here is some of my nr.

Most rhino in a day: 38
Most Rhino on a road. 31 This was on the voortrkker road that run from Pk to afsaal in 2003 in October early one morning. It was also the same day we find all togher 38.
Most seen togther: 11 There is rumors of a crash of rihno of about 30+ that romans in the Croc bridge area on the S28 but never seen it or heard of a guide that have seen it but mant visiter clams to have seen them..
Longest period not seeing one: 5 days

Then there is the Black Rhino. For me to see black rihno more than 15 days in a year would be as rare as seeing roan on your fist visit to Kruger. Between our guide we Have seen them mostly around Klipspringer Koppies area(rocky out cropps at he H3 Napi Junction) S113 , a single male that like to vist to ladies at the bomas in Skukuza. He normally came out late afternoon crocing the Kruger gate road close to the Nurcery junction. The cabbro plain at Afsaal (this was of n female and calf that became n regular sigthing in 2007. She and the calf would normally midday hang around Afsaal or sleeping under one of the trees) Nkumbe look out on the H10( Also regular sighting from the top looking down in to the plains below) The S29 and the Guddzani road(S41) in the Satara area. Like I said normally below 10 a year but have seen in 2007 more than 30 days Black rihno that was also dew to the Female and calf at Afsaal that maid up more than half of those days. Here is some nr:

most black rhino in a day: 3

Most on n road:3 H3 one male at the H3 S113junction and later die female and calf at Afsaal

Longest period not seeing one: 8 month. Normally seeing averiage 1 every 2 month a year.

I have also seen Black rihno on the S28 3 times, 4 times on the S41 close to Satara and once on the Bravo loop( first loop on the right driving from Skukuza to Lower Sabie) othar than that at Afsaal, S113. Voortrekker road, Klispringer koppies, S3 and the Bume (S26) just before the croc line (S25).

Sadfing that I must ad that rhino is the animal that we find mostly with snears around there feet, especially in the Diospane S3 area as this is close to the park border. This area is aspecially a problem as we have found many animals here with snare, inlc. Zebra, Kudu, Lion, Leopard, Hyena, elephant, Giraffe and wildebeest, we have reported most of these to the park, but is diffecult sometimes to track down these animals and is an ever battle with poacher in this area as easy axses to the park from over the Sabie river. I am sure the park is diong everything they can but the terian is fick and diffecult to control.

And this is my Rhino stories......
