This road should be worth more than 2 pages of discussion!!

This is a road where you can count on seeing animals!! Zebra, Blue Wildebeest, Giraffe and warthogs are common residents 8)

The open plains and game also make it a good place to see predators! In particular, lions and cheetah! Although a couple have Mites have also had good leopard sightings here :D

I always cut across the Duke road rather than the Northern section of the S28

We did this road last July. Even the waterhole was dry.

Did this area get good rain in the summer and how is the sightings now on this road?

It did get good summer rains and when there in June there was a little bit of water left and some nice mud wallows.

Hi all

How are sightings in this area currently? Is there still water in this waterhole?

Was there in July 2013 and it was dry and not too productive from a sightings perspective.

The Duke waterhole was dry last month and I must admit although we drove that road quite a few times sightings were fairly quiet and the bush was drying out quickly but I have heard of nice Cheetah sightings since and we did get Lions just below the turnoff to the S137 on the S130.
Of course its all about luck and being in the right place at the right time. 8)
