For us dreamers to see how beautiful the garden is , can anyone post very recent scenic panoramic photos here of the green landscape as it currently is in KNP ?

Whoah! That is one awesome photograph! Did you use a polarising filter?

Thank you Deefstes
Nope, all filter I have on is a normal UV filter….going to be honest and admit that I used Photoshop a bit to add some contrast and darken some of the highlights. I’m still coming to grips with my new camera and mostly just use it on either Program or Speed Priority… what I did however do with this shot (took 15 in total) was like I was use to do with my Panasonic P&S….I used different points in the scene, taking several shots, to let the auto function of the camera measure the light differently till I get it that the sky is not completely blown out…and without loosing the detail in front…I was however very lucky this morning because the light was very nice….I know, this is so not how a professional do it…I’m suppose to manually adjust the exposure etc, but I’m still learning

@DQ…hopefully I will be able to properly learn how to use my Canon in this year and be able to enter photos in next year’s competition….without having to make use of PS

@pepperjuice…now those are amazing shots!!

I am a South African currently living in Australia. I have this photo on my desk, and everytime I look at it, I dream of Africa....

Please post your one picture which makes you long for the bush and tell us why if you can... It would be great to know there are people out there stuck in a city somewhere who wish they could just pack their bags and head to heavan for a couple of days when it all gets to much...

Here's mine:

On my May visit to Kruger, an icy cold winter morning at Lake Panic with a cup of coffee watching the creatures awaken....

Hi Maddie!
I feel the same like you! Every day I am dreaming of Africa, doing a drive through the bush to watch the wildlife....
But when I am opening my eyes I am still at home
We planned a trip to Africa in September but we had to cancel it :( So I have to wait another 7 month and I am dreaming every day of Africa....

Here is one of my favourite pics, Kruger Park near Letaba July 2008 - it´s shows harmony at the waterhole...
