That's a Moreau's Tropical House geckos or normally just known as tropical house geckos (Hemidactylus maboeia) and they can be common in most part of SA. especially in the eastern areas such as KZN but even in Pretoria, PE, etc. During the day they lose their transparent colours and become better camouflaged.

In future, just add a location otherwise it is quite hard to identify some reptiles / cother creatures. In this case, it doesn't make a difference though!

Thanks alot BushSnake! I live in Potchefstroom in the Northwest Province. I must say, these are hardy little lizzards. I love hving them around. I'm even considering starting a colony of fruit flies in a glass jar with over ripe fruit to feed them at night.

Thanks again for the reply!

Hi Samantha

Although the flash has eradicated some detail, it certainly looks like Moreau's Tropical House Gecko.
