Haven't seen a large number of Leopards in our Kruger visits but this one (very pregnant we think) caught on video a few years ago is my wife's all-time favourite. I think I agree with her for once!

Anthony, thanx for trying.

In the videoclip on Veld Focus the tree was really small and when one of the buffalo reared up to get to him it unnerved the lion to such an extent that he gave a massive leap and escaped with his life but not his dignity!

According to the web-site it was sent in by Arthur Wesdnrand of Hartebeespoort on 08/12/2008.

No, then it wasnt the same sighting I had... the buffalo lost interest, as he was quite high up, and while they walked away, he jumped out and an off... I got a great photo though!

Kruger Ellies

Unread postby bishop3006 » Thu Feb 12, 2009 1:33 pm

Mostly my photos are not very good.

This is one of the rare exceptions - the lighting made this a very special photo.
Image

And this one is special, not because of the quality, but because of the way the others protect the calf.
Image

These ellies were both taken in Kruger but don't ask me where as I don't know. Will know when I get there again to note where things were taken.
