This quize runs the same as the other bat quize but is MUCH HARDER!!!! :twisted:

I think you guys know alot about bats!!!!!!

First quistion...........

There is a group of people in Swaziland who are studying the commom slitfaced bat (Nycteris thebaica).

What is the purpose of the research?

The study includes collecting of echolocation call recording for a call bat library. Also the study of fidelity of individuals in a population that inhabit road culverts in and around Mlawula nature reserve. There is also a behavioral study looking at - home range, day and night roost use and forage with use of radio telemetry.

The ‘clawed bat’

Until now, fossil bats haven’t provided any clues for all of them show signs of both echolocation and flight. But a stunning new fossil, discovered by Nancy Simmons from the American Museum of Natural History is an exception and it provides a categorical answer to the long-running debate - the earliest bats could fly but could not echolocate.

The quizzes are not to see who is the best at Googling... or are they... doesnt make sense to me... :evil:
