Do you mean like the bat hotels? Yes I have, at Letaba and Berg en Dal :D

A large number of small bats were in a hollow tree, close to huts 29/30 at Shingwedzi. The tree is in the inner sandy area, rather than between the huts and the fence.

Under most thatch roofs you will have a chance of finding a bat.

This is a pic we took recently of a few of the bats roosting at Skukuza.
But there are hundreds of them under the 2 thatch roofs outside the takeaway/deli restuarant.

I saw 2 bats during March this year
the first one go hunting in the middle of the night, in "my" bungalow No 6 at Crocodile Bridge :|
and the second, at Talamati, cotage no 2, droped on my belly  , jump on the floor and creep under the bed. I think this one was a little bit tired, not too much eat in the room, and I ask somebody to take away...
I have a thought for Michele Nel

There are also bats roosting during the day under the (is it Olifant's or Letaba's? Freda... help! ) highwater bridges... Shingwedzi as well.
Check the gaps in the concrete on the sides of the bridge under the railing... Also a good spot to see Bat Hawks around sunset.

Not Kruger, but in Mapungubwe NP... if you take the guided tour up Mapungubwe Hill, the last bit of the climb to the top of the hill is a stretch of wooden stairs. About 2/3s up you will find a bat colony underneath. The smell will tell you when and where to stop and look for them... 8)

Thanks Fredaatjie! 8) Letaba does make more sense than Olifant's hw bridge...

It is indeed the Letaba highwater bridge

The smell is unforgettable 8)

Must say I've never noticed the smell of the colony underneath the Letaba bridge... but the ones in Mapungubwe can definitely not be ignored!

They are definitely under the Olifants as well. Yellowbilled kite can be seen in the summer doing acrobatics underneath and catching them.

I have a photo somewhere and will post it.

In July i saw a Mauritian tomb bat roosting with its young on a building next to the restaurant in Letaba

I struggle to find them, and it was a truly wonderful sighting!!!!!

Batmad I might be wrong but I guess you didn't find this roost in the ladies loos at Nkuhlu. I took this pic at the end of October.
