The SANPark information mentions Dolphin Point but I can't find it on a map.

Please can someone point me in the right direction.

Visiting in Sep 08

Hi JDW
Dolphin Point is situated on the Kaaimans pass, between Wilderness and George. It is an viewpoint overlooking the ocean, from here you can view Dolphins and Whales(if in season) from far above. It is not situated inside Wilderness NP.
Hope you find it. :)

kev
I have found it on Google earth very many thanks.
Now that I know where it is, I recall being stuck in a very long line of vehicles in September 2006 at that point due to a landslide after serious rainfall / flooding in the area around that point. :(
Hopefully we will not have the same problems this trip.
I know that September is a good time to see whales but what about dolphins.
Thanks again
JDW

Early morning is your best chance to spot Dolphins although in all my years going there I have not seen one from Dolphin's point. I have however seen them closer to Hersham.

As for the look out, serious construction work was done on the pass and for a while the look outs were closed. It was open in December thou when I was last there.

September is not a busy time and the look outs should be quite easy to access.
