Silent Auction at the Cricket 2008

Unread postby CuriousCanadian » Sun Jan 13, 2008 4:56 pm

Hey guys!!! :D

If we all brought a little something of interest to Skukuza..we could have a fundraising silent auction! If someone paints, or does cross stitching or gets a gift certificate from a restaurant or brings a souvenir from their home town, or,or,or....
I am putting together some Canadian goodies that I was planning on bringing anyway...so if you want to bid on what I bring 8)

The idea is simple...put all your goodies on a table with a piece of paper in front...people walk by and write down a bid. If someone bids before you-overbid them! There is a time limit so, say at about 9:00pm-bidding closes...whovever has the highest bid then-gets the goods! Easy Peasy

What do you think? Is it do-able?

We want to raise lots of money, don't we? 8)

A good investment - keep if a few months and one's return could double :D

I'm sure I can find something to donate to the auction. :D It will probably be smallish (like perhaps a bottle of Cape wine?) but every little bit counts.

I have promised a 5 bottle litre of red wine before and just need to send it with some-one from the western cape. As I was saying before, I am busy making the 2008 vintage when you are playing cricket in paradise,
