New Game (OQ)

Unread postby jakoventer » Fri Jan 11, 2008 9:49 am

I was thinking of a sort of word scrambler game.

Rules:

1. Any place, animal, tree, river, waterhole, road etc in KNP can be used.

2. For better use of everyone, do not use scientific names ie. Panthero Pardus (Leopard).

3. If you use a place for instance Berg en Dal, you can mix all letters together, but then state how many words the answer contains. ex. dengrbela 3 words. If only one word no need to state it.

4. Language used must also be stated if not english.

5. Also state in which group the answer is

6. Groups:

6.1 Animals - All animals including birds
6.2 Places - Roads, Camps, Picnic Spots, Places of interest, Mountains/Koppies (If using roads, no need to add the road part as well, just use ie Doispane)
6.3 Water - Rivers, waterholes, dams

I will start with 3 examples. From easy to hard.

a. ukzkasu - Place
b. ynaauvaml - Water
c. tonlgmnonaad - Water 2 words

Enjoy

Nice quiz ... one question ... who poses the next question - quizmaster or winner? If so which winner from a multi-answer or will quizmaster nominate?

This game certainly makes you search maps - and discover that spelling is often different in the various books too! That will make it difficult unless you have the same map as the QM....

1. Gezanftombi
2. Martial eagle
3. Matshitshindzudzi

(I found the first answer spelled with 's' instead of 'z' in one book and without the 'f' in another!)

ecojunkie - Image spot on! my map spells it Gezantfombi  So I assume we can accept answers if it's the ones the QM is looking for? :D

jakoventer - I think it's a great quizz!

2. rbnudaubgdenloeasdoeds (animal, 2 words)
3. gyilhysaednawen (water)

Have fun!

not so certain about no 3 - if wrong, I can always blame the map

1. Makhutlwanini - Place

2. Doublebanded Sandgrouse - animal

3. Shidayngwenya - water

(I cannot make out whether it is the river or the
get-out point that's indicated on my map  I also miss the "l" and "e".)

 Well done Spotted Cat! My map has it as Shidlayengwenya. this difference in spelling is definitely going to complicate matters sometimes.

I promise not to post answers to the next batch so someone else has a chance!!!!!
