I think it is always fun if you are able to indentify 'your' bungalow from up above.

Please let me know what the Twee Rivieren Bungalows are equipped with other than 2-plate stove,aircon,fridge?
Is it also equipped with cutlery,bedding and what should I bring along to make some decent food?
Sorry in advance for the questions, first timer in KGTP!

Bedding is provided as well as bath towels. Cutlery and crockery is also provide. All you need to bring along is food and drinks as the shop only sells a very limited range of supplies.

Tweerivieren has all the equipment to make decent food, there is a braai outside, fridge inside...so what more do you need
Last time we were there our neighbour brought in so many extra electricity stuff the plugs constantly tripped.
And if you do not feel like cooking, go to the restaurant

Hi Disco3 & welcome to the forum.

The bungalows have recently been refurbished and have a decent shower & toilet. Each bed also gets a bath and hand towel and a complimentary cakelet of soap. There is an outside table with chairs to match the number of beds in the unit, and a braai place a reasonable distance from your front door. Very civilised.

Just keep an eye open at night for the odd scorpion, especially if it is windy.

Enjoy yourself, you are in for a real treat.

Just curious why scorpions are likely to be more prevelent if it is windy?

Could it not be that they are not neccessarily more prevelent when windy, it's just that it is more difficult to spot them because the wind blows sand over them, covering them just under the surface?

When the wind blows the flying insects on which they prey don't fly and are easy meat. Simple as that.

Congrats on never seeing one! Keep it that way! (Agree, they're fascinating! Just not particularly fond of the critters. Especially after finding one in my shoe one morning. And getting stung! )
But, if and when you do, make sure to tell the staff why the bathroom water glass is upside down in the shower.

Have seen scorpions in 2R.

One in my bungalow.

Others in te camping area.

If you leave them alone they just go on their merry way.

..and one on the way to the ablution blocks
...and one near our braai
..and one under our tent

We are wondering about the difference in Family Cottage (FA4) and Family Cottage (FA2/4A), except the two-room and higher price at the later (which we could read on the Sanparks Twee Rivieren info)?
Is there any other difference? Which is better to book in your opinion and why?
