Hey!

As you know I'm one of the regular forumites who is online at a regular basis. Now I find it really strange that people hide their online status, whats to hide?

Also, when I come across a problem and need to PM a Mod urgently, how are we supposed to know whether they are online or not, because as far as I know only DinkyBird, Diannet & Gwendolen show their online status. But when they are offline there is nobody to ask?

Mark, some people do that to keep the work they are at from noticing that they are online all the time, like me.
You know however that I´m online between around 09.30 till 18.00 SAST from monday till friday.

Cool Duke, now I know I can PM you for backup if DB, Gwen or Dianne aren't online. I've also noticed you're showing your online status again!

I hide my online status cause I dont want to be seen.

Often my computer does not log me on automatically and if I am just having a quick peek (helps for withdrawal symtoms) I do not bother to log on. However if I am on for the duration of the day I always log on.

Nkulu, there is a feature under your profile window, that enables you to hide your online status even when you're logged in. If you choose this option, your name will not appear at the the bottom of the Forum Index main page, under "Who is online - Registered users:"

Knew that, just mentioning another reason why one could be reading but registered as Guest.

Another reason for not showing online status could be to avoid domestic dispute

I do know that for some folks it could put their job on the line.

Maybe others have another reason.
I know that I did once have a mega problem with porn being posted. It was Sunday and I did not know what to do.

Absolutely nothing actually. Especially not click on links in the post! Those porn things were not porn (well, a bit of it) but mostly a way to spread a virus.

Never worry about them. The moment we see them we take them out, and the poster gets banned.

I made my first trip to Kruger in Grade 9 (Besides as a baby), and was hooked.

In those days I just had CUSTOS and very few books to indulge my addiction. Each issue or new book was like a Christmas and Birthday present combined.

As a matter of interest then, does the "contact us" at the bottom of the page go directly to the mods?
