Any Angels (much beter than musketeers @ this) able to help ?

Image

flower is about 4 cm deep , 2 cm diameter , tulip shaped cup .

the leaves are butterfly shaped like a Mopani but much smaller @ about 1cm each.

The flower also had a small , delicate yellow spider inside , camoflaged to sieze visiting insects but he fled my intrusion with the close up lens .

riverine habitat

Its called the Bauhinia tomentosa .

Common names are yellow honeybells bush and yellowbell bauhina .

You can buy them at some indigenous nurserys , and they grow very nicely in the garden , forming a nice rounded shrub about 2m high .
They can grow in jhb if planted in a protected spot , and self seed easily .

This look like Yellow Bauhinia (Bauhinia tomentosa), Geelbeesklou (Afrikaans).

Very logical . Bauhinia 's have the the twin lobed leaves (neats foot) and this is the yellow one.

Thanks all and one up for the musketeers - just challenge them.
