I was on a sunset drive @ Berg en Dal and the guide showed us the black wattle outside the camp and informed us about this :D

I once used a giant elephant-looking leaf, which was particularly effective. Now I simply carry emergency toilet paper - which I have never had to use to-date 8) - as I wouldn't want some black wattle I was about to use hiding a predator.

How about an easy one? This tree produces fruits that resemble cricket balls... which if hit by a cricket bat will make primates very happy!!!

Gosh, if these Q's get any easier, no-one will answer because there'll be no challenge left.

SeanP...You know your trees.

Agree with SeanP with the Leadwood Tree....It can remain standing, for years after the tree has died.

SeanP
WFG, I know that baobabs live to great ages, but because of the soft wood, one wonders whether the tree will remain standing for long after its demise? Not sure if anyone (including the question asker) knows the answer to this one? :hmz:
