Supplies before entering Kruger

Unread postby Irishgal » Tue May 07, 2013 2:21 pm

We will be staying in Kruger in July staying in Satara and Skuzuka for 3 nights each. We will be flying to Nelspruit, my plan is to hire a car at Nelspruit airport, drive to Hazyview, stay there for 1 night and enter Phabeni Gate early the next morning, and then drive to Satara.

I will need to stock up on supplies before we enter Kruger, would it be best to do this in Nelspruit or Hazyview, I think I will need to purchase a cooler box as well,

Also where would be a good place to stop for lunch between Phaneni Gate and Satara,

Thanks
Rachel :D

Hi Irishgal, I think it's better to get your supplies in Nelspruit, they I think have a better selection of shops to chose from,.
I do hope you have a lovely time in Kruger with fantastic sightings :gflower:

1. Riverside Mall just north of Nelspruit has all the shops, Pick N Pay is our local Tesco.
2. Tshokwane is a great lunch stop.
Whatever (according to BB): "You are correct but I don't want to admit it".

Hi Irishgal

If you are thinking about having a picnic as a lunch stop I recommend Mlondozi. It’s a bit of route but has stunning view over Mlondozi Dam :D . Otherwise Tshokwane is great as it has nice warm rolls and pies.

IIRC there's a good Pick 'n Pay in Hazyview, so NO need to shop in Nelspruit if you're staying over in Hazyview, everything you'll need you can find there -- and without going into Nespruit as the airport is on the KNP side.
