Here's one of her and her offspring taken on 29 January. I saw them many times over a 10 day period and only once was she limping badly. That was shortly after she had made a kill. Perhaps it's an injury that gets aggravated after serious speed. Or just another thorn? Either way, she seems to cope very well with it.

we had the chance to have, in the park, Margie and Gus Mills, who study and ID the Cheetahs
but now... we have to start something by ourself
there is some threads, like this one "Wanted : cheetah cub + mum with collar regular updates!"

Hi Ice and Anne-Marie,
You are right there is no cheetah identification thread on the forum.
I spoke to Gus about this a while ago as he wanted to continue the monitoring of the cheetahs in the park in a similar manner to the leopards.
What we were hoping was to produce a cheetah guide like the leopard one. This would require a lot less work because in principle Gus has a very good photographic record of all the cheetahs in the park.
Unfortunately, since Gus has been writing up his research for the past year nothing has been done on this yet.
I will speak to him and see if we can get something organised.
Cheers

I has also speaking to Margie... but my English is a bit.... :?
so, will be nice if you can do something... try to organise...

and like you said, Mrs and Mr Mills know almost all the Kgalagadi's Cheetahs and have a lot of material

I have a question.... somebody has some news of Gertie and her three youngs ?
last time I saw the whole family, was on the 19.3.2013
a big thanks in advance :k

Wow ! I saw Gertie and the three cubs (now big as the mother :) ) , 26/7/2013, 10:44, at S25.87253 E20.10950, south of Mata Mata.
Now I'm in Twee Rivieren , not easy internet, but as soon as possible I will post pics :)

Is this Gertie with her cubs? Seen north of Dalkieth approx ten days ago. Came across them a few minutes before she made a successful springbok kill so the photos are a bit hurried.

Cubs popped up the minute she took off
